Don “Donny” Lee Schuldt Jr., 43, of Edgewood, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, April, 30, 2023, at his residence after being diagnosed with brain cancer back in November 2022. He was born on May 23, 1979, in Manchester, Iowa, the son of Don L. “Chopper” Schuldt and Jennifer Jane (Zapf) Schuldt. Donny graduated from Edgewood-Colesburg High School to go on into the U.S. Navy as an Airman.
After getting out of the service, he worked several years with Dave’s Complete Construction and later with Kendricks Forest Products in their cabinet shop. In 2015, he started his own construction business, Donny’s Home Solutions (DHS).
Donny enjoyed having drinks with family and friends, fishing, spending time with his granddaughter (Lovaeh), and his dog (Neo).
Survivors include his brother, Chip Schuldt of Edgewood; nephew, Dylan (Rebecca) Schuldt of Marion, and niece, Shai Schuldt of Manchester; his significant other of 22 years, Tammy Klostermann of Edgewood. Special “step”children include; Ashley, Drew, Alec, and Lindsey Klostermann. “Step” grandchildren; Trayce, Tierra, Lovaeh, Leyton, and Hudson.
Donny was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Celebration of life will be held on May 20, 2023 at brother Chip’s home near Edgewood at 1 pm.
