Blood Drive to Honor Memory of Former Greeley Fire Chief
A blood drive next month will honor the memory of a former Greeley Fire Chief.
David Pierschbacher died last spring. He had been a member of the Greeley fire department for over twenty years – promoted to Chief in 2006 and serving until his death.
Pierschbacher battled a form of cancer, undergoing multiple surgeries and treatments. He was a recipient of multiple blood transfusions, which played an important role during his fight against cancer.
The Greeley Fire Department is partnering with the American Red Cross to host a blood drive in Pierschbacher’s memory on Friday, June 2nd. The blood drive will run from noon to 6 pm at the Greeley Fire Department.
Donors are asked to call 1-800-RED CROSS or go to redcrossblood.org to schedule a blood donation appointment. All those who come to donate will receive a $10 gift card by email to the merchant of their choice.
