Eager shoppers in Manchester have been watching and waiting for the official arrival of Dollar Tree. The building, located to the east of Dollar Fresh Market, was finished more than a month ago, but as store manager Heather Sattizahn explains, there was still plenty of work to do before the doors officially open January 5th.
Based out of Chesapeake, Virginia, Dollar Tree operates over 15-thousand stores in the continental United States as well as Canada, with over 60 Iowa communities home to Dollar Trees. Each store stocks a variety of products, including national, regional, and private-label brands. Sattizahn says the value products are what drives customers in.
Currently, truckload after truckload of merchandise is arriving, with busy employees unloading and stocking. Sattizahn says they could use a few more sets of hands.
Sattizahn says this store’s footprint is bigger than most in the area, meaning more savings throughout the store.
