Two people were injured when a seed truck rolled over in Linn County on Wednesday morning.
The accident happened just southeast of Marion after 8:30 am. Emergency personnel responded to a truck rollover on Highway 13 southbound near Travis Road.
The Linn County Sheriff’s Office says the driver of the seed truck lost control, causing the truck to roll, ending up on its side. Highway 13 southbound was completely blocked by the truck and one of the northbound lanes was blocked with seed corn and debris. First responders found that the driver and passenger were trapped in the vehicle and had to be extracted from the truck cab.
The names of those involved are not being released due to the severity of their injuries.
Northbound Highway 13 traffic was altered for about an hour, while southbound traffic was closed from Highway 100 until about 10:30 am Wednesday.
The accident remains under investigation.
