Manchester’s 2024 Street Improvement Project is off to a good start.
The East Main Street project, which includes total street reconstruction from Bailey Drive to nearly Stiles Street, kicked off last Friday.
Manchester City Manager Tim Vick says detours are set up along South Brewer Street and just north of East Main.
Vick says the tweaks include moving a couple “road closed” barricades back and apart on South Bailey Drive, adding no parking on Anderson Street by Main Street, and adding directional signs to a couple businesses impacted by the road closures.
Manchester’s East Main Street project is anticipated to take about five months to complete.
