Delaware County Extension and the NICC Manchester Center are offering a day camp this Saturday.
It’s called ‘On Their Own & Okay’. It’s aimed at kids in third through sixth grade to help prepare them to stay home alone for extended periods of time.
They’ll cover such topics as creating a routine, making healthy snacks and meals, safety practices and responding to emergencies and boredom buster activities. By the end of camp, the kids will have gained the confidence and skills necessary to be independent at home.
‘On Their Own & Okay’ will be held this Saturday in Manchester from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the NICC Manchester Center. The cost for this course is $19.
