Camp Courageous Hosting Omelet Breakfast & Open House

Camp Courageous in Monticello is hosting their annual Omelet Breakfast and Open House this weekend.

Everyone is invited to enjoy made-to-order omelets, with sausage, toast and beverages on Sunday from 8 am to noon in the Camp’s main lodge. Ashley Burino says there will be more than twenty omelet makers on Sunday, with a total of around one hundred volunteers helping for the day.

During the breakfast and open house at the Camp on Sunday, the East Side Big Band will also be playing oldies from 9 am to noon at the Sill Barn. Activities such as the 700-foot zipline will be available for $10 per rider. Kids of all ages can visit and pet the Camp’s animals in the Nature Center. Guided tours of the Camp Courageous facilities will also be available, showcasing the Sill Barn, Train Depot, camper cabins, indoor pools, and more. There will also be mini golf accessible to everyone for $10/person per hour. And the Multi-Purpose Field will be open, offering a baseball diamond, pickleball courts, a soccer field, and more.

The cost for Sunday’s Omelet Breakfast is ten dollars for adults and five dollars for kids 12 and under. All proceeds from this event support Camp Courageous and its mission of serving individuals of all ages with disabilities.
