The Plagman Barn’s Country Breakfast will be held Sunday, July 12th from 7:30 to 11:30 am at the Plagman Barn on Garber Road (just two miles east of Garber). Serving pancakes, ham, sausage, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy and beverages. Adults $9, ages 5-10 $4 and 4 and under free. The Country Store will be open.

Delaware County Fair Parade

The Delaware County Fair Parade will be held Monday night, July 13th at 7 pm. This year’s theme is “Make Some Noise” and the parade route will be the same as in the past, starting on Doctor Street, heading north through the fairgrounds and out the main gate, going south down New Street, making a little jog onto North Brewer past Central Park, then turning left on East Butler Street past Baum Park and ending at Stiles Street. Manchester 5K Run/Walk “For the Kids”

July 18

A 5K Run/Walk “For The Kids” will be held Saturday, July 18th in Manchester. All proceeds go to the University of Iowa, which goes directly children and their families suffering from pediatric cancer and other bone marrow diseases at the University of Iowa Children’s Hospital. Race starts at 7:30 am at the Beckman Complex. Stop into Manchester City Hall for a registration form.

FPC Vacation Bible School

First Presbyterian Church at 312 E. Butler Street in Manchester is holding Vacation Bible School Sunday, July 19th through Wednesday, July 22nd from 5:00 pm – 7:30 pm. The theme of the week is Workshop of Wonders – Imagine and Build with God. Dinner will be served each night. All children entering kindergarten through entering 5th grade are welcome. The Tri-County Sportsmen 3-D Archery Shoot will be held Saturday and Sunday, July 25th and 26th four miles north of Holy Cross on Tollgate Road (watch for the signs).
