JKPL: Build a Better World with Bees

Hartwick Huskys’ Learn to Ski Program

June 14 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

  The Hartwick Huskys will kick off their 2017 water ski show season with a Learn to Ski program on Wednesday, June 14th from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Schram Park in Manchester. This program is presented FREE for anyone of any age who wants to try water skiing. Those under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent. The Hartwick Huskys provide all equipment, boats, qualified instructors, and safety coordinators.

Dyersville Youth Soccer Registration

The City of Dyersville is accepting registrations for youth soccer. You can register online at cityofdyersville.com or drop off a form at Dyersville City Hall. Registration deadline is June 16th for youth soccer. Be sure to register before the deadline to avoid the $20 late fee!

First Presbyterian Church Garage Sale

June 16 - June 17

First Presbyterian Church in Manchester is hosting a church-wide garage sale on Friday, June 16th and Saturday, June 17th. Hours are Friday from 9 to 5 and Saturday morning from 8 to 11. Selling baby and children items, teen and adult clothing, household decor, house and kitchen items, baked goods and more! All proceeds go to local charities.

Manchester Good to Great Lunch

Manchester Good to Great is hosting a lunch fundraiser on Friday, June 16th from 11 to 1:30 at the Manchester Fareway parking lot. Serving grilled pork loin sandwiches, chips and pop or water for $5. Proceeds will go toward Good to Great projects such as the proposed Manchester dog park, art projects and bike trails. If your business orders 10 meals or more, they'll deliver to your workplace! JKPL: Chair Yoga

June 17

Yoga instructor Karen Kramer will teach a one-hour class on chair yoga on Saturday, June 17th at 10 am at the James Kennedy Public Library in Dyersville. Great for senior citizen, those with limited mobility or beginners! Everyone welcome to join this free class. Comfortable clothing suggested. Bring your Nerf gun and ammo and head to the James Kennedy Public Library in Dyersville on Saturday, June 17th at 6 pm for this bi-monthly Nerf War! Participants must be 13 or older, with those under 18 needing a signed parental waiver. Registration requested, but walk-ins welcome if space allows. Must provide your own Nerf guns and ammo (with no modifications). Call the library at 875-8912.

Delaware Fire Dept. Father’s Day Breakfast

June 18 @ 7:00 am - 12:00 pm

The Delaware Fire Department will host their Father's Day Breakfast on Sunday, June 18th from 7 am to noon at the Delaware Fire Station. Serving pancakes, eggs, ham, sausage, hashbrowns, toast, fresh fruit, cinnamon rolls and beverages. Bake sale and raffle prizes. Adults $8, kids (5-12) $4 and under 5 free. All proceeds benefit the Delaware Volunteer Fire Department.

Edgewood Museum Grand Opening

June 18 @ 1:00 pm - 8:00 pm

The grand opening for the new Edgewood Museum will be held Sunday, June 18th from 1 to 8 pm at the old Edgewood Feed Mill building along Highway 3, with a ribbon-cutting and short dedication program at 6 pm. The Edgewood Locker will grill brats and serve chips along with light beverages from 5 to 7 pm, with a free will donation accepted.

Minecraft will be set up in the James Kennedy Public Library in Dyersville on Tuesday, June 20th from 6 to 8 pm so teens can come in and play in the game's creative mode, work together and build whatever they want. Open to kids who have completed 6th through 12 grade. Refreshments provided.

Dyersville Car Cruise and Rib Fest

June 24 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Join the Dyersville Commercial Club in celebrating 100 years with their Backyard Car Cruise and Rib Fest on Saturday, June 24th!  Car cruise starts at 2:30 pm and will return around 5 pm.  Then enjoy the 1st annual backyard rib cook-off.  Judging starts at 4:30, with tasting at 5 pm.  “Hot Mess” will play from 7 to 11 pm.
