Jim McDonough Holiday Concert

November 25

Jim McDonough will perform his holiday concert at Hanson Auditorium in Manchester on Friday, November 25th at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $20 for adults. Children 18 and under are free if they bring a food item for the Delaware County Food Bank. Small Business Saturday

Celebrate Small Business Saturday in Manchester on Saturday, November 26th! Starting at 9 am, participating businesses will have breakfast items for you. Find some great gifts for the holiday season at your local stores. Santa will also come through town on a fire truck at 9 am that morning - be sure to wave!

Manchester’s Window Walk and Static Christmas Parade will be held Thursday night, December 1st from 6:30 to 8 pm. Hennessy Cookie/Candy Walk

Hennessy Catholic School in Petersburg will host their 7th Annual Hennessy Cookie/Candy Walk on Saturday, December 3rd at New Vienna Community Hall from 8 am to noon (or whenever they run out of goodies)! DNR Snowmobile Safety Course

The Iowa DNR's Snowmobile Safety Course will be held Saturday, December 3rd at the Delaware County Extension Office in Manchester. Registration begins at 8 am and the class runs from 8:30 am to 4 pm. The course is prepared by the DNR and will be taught by certified instructors Larry and Diane Childs and other members of the Snow Pioneers. Iowa law requires anyone age 12 through 17 to obtain a safety certificate before they can lawfully operate a snowmobile…

Arlington Craft and Vendor Show

A Holiday Craft and Vendor Show will be held on Saturday, December 3rd from 9 am to 2 pm at the Arlington Community Center. The vendors will keep their sale proceeds, but their entry fees go directly to the Arlington Community Event Center to support Post Prom, scholarships, Miss Arlington and more. Holiday Train

December 4

The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train will have two stops in Clayton County this year! On Sunday, December 4th, the train will stop in Guttenberg at 12:45 pm and in Marquette at 2:45 pm on the river side of the railroad tracks. Admission is a non-perishable food item or monetary donation for the Clayton County Food Shelf.
