Winthrop Fire & Rescue Soup Dinner

April 17 @ 10:30 am - 1:30 pm

Winthrop Fire & Rescue will be having their annual soup dinner fundraiser on Sunday, April 17th at the Winthrop Fire Station serving from 10:30 am - 1:30 pm. Cost is free will donation. Menu includes homemade soups, chicken noodle, potato and vegetable and grill cheese sandwiches. Carryouts available.

The Delaware County Senior Center will hold their monthly night meal on Tuesday, April 19th at the center in Manchester. Doors open at 5 pm and meal is served at 5:30 pm. This month's menu is goulash, garlic bread, tossed salad and brownie for $4. Anyone welcome to attend, but reservations are necessary - call 927-5473. This month's volunteers will be from Community Savings Bank!

Earth Day Saunter

April 22

An "Earth Day Saunter" will be held Friday, April 22nd at Buck Creek County Park three miles northeast of Garnavillo. Connect with nature as this saunter takes you through the undeveloped forest. You may want to bring along a journal and camera, though it's not required. Sturdy boots, pants and sleeves are recommended. Starts at 5 pm. Reservations not needed. Relay for Life Fundraiser in Ryan

A Relay for Life fundraiser will be held at Cooper's Place in Ryan on Saturday, April 23rd from 6 pm to close. The Ryan Shamrocks (who are the Ryan's from Ryan) will be guest bartenders and Andy Lyness will be cooking. All tips and proceeds will go the Relay for Life/American Cancer Society. The 11th Annual Opening Doors Dash will be held Saturday, April 30th on the Jaycees Trail in Dubuque. This is a Star Wars themed 5K Run/Walk and half-mile children's fun run.
