Manchester Hawks 12U Baseball Fundraising

July 7

The Manchester Hawks 12U Baseball team has won the state championship of their division for the second year in a row in the Cal Ripken Little League series. They're heading to the Midwest Plains Regional in Missouri next week and raising money for their trip. On Thursday night, July 7th, the team will be going door to door in Manchester collecting donations and pop cans for a can drive.

The "Brighten A Kid's Day" 5K Run/Walk and Bike Ride will be held Saturday, July 9th. Starts at 8:30 am at the Beckman Complex in Manchester. Registration runs from 7 to 8 am. Old Volks and Dubbers Cruise

July 9 @ 1:00 pm - 5:30 pm

Volkswagen owners are invited to join in on a special cruise for an afternoon drive through the Iowa countryside on Saturday, July 9th. They'll meet in Dyersville at 1 pm. Julyfest will be held at St. Joseph's Church parish grounds in Farley on Sunday, July 10th. Polka Mass at 9:30 am by the Jim Busta Band with Mollie B also playing in the tent from 10:30 am to noon. The Dyersville Chamber is sponsoring Music in the Streets in downtown Dyersville on Friday, July 15th from noon to 1 pm. A local saxophone quartet will be provide musical entertainment over the lunch hour. Local businesses, shoppers and tourists are encouraged to enjoy the sunshine, downtown and some great local music. The New Vienna-Luxemburg Fire Department will host Family Fun Night on Saturday, July 16th at the New Vienna Ball Diamond. Fun starts at 5 pm, with food and refreshments available.
