The Manchester Chamber has announced the date for their annual Metals and Electronics Recycling Event.
It’s planned for Saturday, April 23rd from 8 am to noon at the Delaware County Fairgrounds’ east gate in Manchester.
Local residents are invited to bring any metal items they no longer want – including appliances – and drop them off for a small fee. Refrigerators will cost ten dollars and washers, dryers and microwaves will cost five dollars. If you have any questions about which metal items can be recycled, call Letts Scrap & Recycling at 927-5503.
And Thede’s Computer Repair & Recycling will also be there to take your electronics and computers. If you have any questions, you can contact Missi Thede at 563-822-1143 – or you can find an updated list of electronics at thedecomputers.com.
Several items will NOT be accepted at the event, including TVs, monitors, tires, light bulbs and hazardous waste (such as liquids and paints).
