Kids Spending Time at Backbone for Iowa Wildlife Camp

Kids are spending some time at camp at Backbone State Park this week.

It’s the Iowa Wildlife Camp sponsored by the University of Iowa – a new event being held at Backbone this year for kids in grades three through seven.

Roger Helmrichs, member of the Friends of Backbone group, says the university is sponsoring this wildlife camp at a number of state parks – giving kids a chance to learn and have some fun outdoors.

The camp costs $160 per person, but thanks to support from the Friends of Backbone group, the first twenty kids only paid $100.
