RMC Welcomes Two New Trustees

Regional Medical Center in Manchester has welcomed two new members to their Governing Board of Trustees.

Jane Sherman of Edgewood and Kathy Swift of Manchester began their terms January 1st.

Jane graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1974 and a Master of Science in Nursing in 1995. Her clinical background includes home care, hospice and public health. Jane retired from her nursing career with RMC after 17 years in administration of home care, hospice, public health and the mental health center.

Kathy has been a registered nurse for over 45 years. She graduated from Mount Mercy University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1977 and received her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Nebraska in 1982. During Kathy’s nursing career she served in a variety of roles including Executive Director of the Visiting Nurse Association in Dubuque; tenured Assistant Professor at Mount Mercy University; and has worked in Nursing Administration, as a Clinical Nurse Specialist for Surgical Services and has served as an Academic Liaison for Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids.

Regional Medical Center says goodbye and thank you to their outgoing Trustees, Jane Hanson and Ruth Hoekstra. Ruth began serving on the RMC Governing Board of Trustees in 2016, and Jane began her term in 2017. RMC says both Jane and Ruth have been instrumental in helping further the hospital’s mission and success in our communities.
