Ice Storm Forecasted for Highway 20 Corridor Wednesday into Thursday

More winter weather will be impacting the area heading into Wednesday and Thursday – and this time, it looks like we could be dealing with ice.

The National Weather Service has issued an Ice Storm Warning for Delaware, Dubuque, Buchanan, Clayton and Fayette counties from 9 am Wednesday through 6 pm Thursday.

Delaware County Emergency Management Coordinator Mandy Bieber:

Bieber says preparing for an ice storm is similar to preparing for any winter storm.

The system is expected to start Tuesday night as snow, with the storm moving out of the area by mid-day on Thursday. The National Weather Service says travel could be impacted, especially the Wednesday evening and Thursday morning commutes.
