Delaware County Discusses Better Process for Providing Emergency Services to Lake Delhi

Is there a better way to provide emergency services to the residents of Lake Delhi?

That was a topic of discussion during a work session hosted by the Delaware County Board of Supervisors on Monday morning. 

A couple of Lake Delhi residents had brought up concerns to the County about the lake’s rural addresses in regards to emergency services. One of the residents suffered a fire a couple years ago and is concerned about firefighters and emergency personnel getting to where they need to go without getting lost.

Supervisor Shirley Helmrichs says the meeting was productive, with representatives attending from several entities, including Emergency Management, Lake Delhi, the Delhi Fire Department and 911.

Helmrichs says they hope to have a solution with the new maps in place by mid-January.
