The winter storm we’ve been watching develop over the last week makes its entrance into the KMCH listening area tonight. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning in effect from 6pm tonight to Midnight tomorrow night. Mace Michaels from our weather partner Severe Studios, says this system will be putting a thick blanket of snow over the area.

Strong winds will accompany the snow, with gusts up to 40mph. But Mace believes as this system moves in from the Texas area, the snow- once it hits the ground, will not move around much.  Climatologists have said this year is an El Nino winter, so while we brace ourselves for this system, it’s not likely that there will be more like this.
