U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley was in Winthrop on Tuesday to visit with students at East Buchanan High School.
The entire student body attended the assembly for a Q&A with the longtime senator. Grassley answered students’ questions about term limits, the farm bill, pro forma sessions of the Senate, gun laws, AEAs, Grassley’s internship program, and checks and balances of the government – as well as his favorite part about being a Senator.
Tuesday’s visit to East Buchanan was part of Senator Grassley’s annual 99 County Tour across Iowa, which just kicked off its 44th year this week.
