KMCH SPORTS: North Linn Set For 7th Straight Championship Game
Sportscast for Friday 3/8
BY JON SWISHER – SPORTS DIRECTOR:
The North Linn Boys will compete in their 7th straight state final this afternoon as they meet Tri-Rivers Conference teammate Bellevue Marquette Catholic in the Class 1A title game at 1:00. Twenty-fifth year head coach Mike Hilmer shares his thoughts on why the program is able to continue the consistent success:
The Lynx look for their 3rd championship and if they can achieve victory it would be the 7th time a Girls and Boys program from the same school won titles in the same season in Iowa High School Basketball history, the first time ever by a Class 1A school. The last school to do it was Waukee in 2021. All the coverage this afternoon beginning around 12:45 with Sports Director Jon Swisher and Bill Logan on Mix 94.7, kmch.com and the KMCH App.
