West Delaware’s Director of Finance Honored with Iowa Professional Leadership Award
West Delaware’s Director of Finance has received a prestigious award from the Iowa Association of School Business Officials.
Lynnette Engel received the Iowa Professional Leadership Award, one of the highest honors that the association bestows upon its members. Only two awards are given each year. The awards are not just a measure of extraordinary deeds or a lengthy career – they are a recognition of those school business officials who, throughout their career and lifetime, have demonstrated excellence in service to their school district, communities and their profession.
Engel has served with the Iowa Association of School Business Officials in a number of roles – including as Regional Director, a mentor, a conference presenter and conference planning committee member.
She is also an active member in the community – volunteering with various youth programs and church programs and helping with school activities outside her work hours, including coordinating meals and helping with school athletic events.
As the recipient of the Iowa Professional Leadership Award, Engel will receive:
- A customized award for her office
- An invitation to the next Iowa Association of School Business Officials Leadership Conference
- And reimbursement for registration/airfare/lodging up to a fixed amount to attend the next ASBO International Conference
- A $1,000 scholarship to present to a graduating West Delaware senior
