Original story (Wednesday 11:42 am)

A Manchester man was arrested following a pursuit on Highway 20 across Delaware County on Tuesday night.

Around 9 pm, Manchester Police say one of their officers noticed 34-year old Dallas Ross Selby on West Main Street in Manchester – the officer knew Selby had a valid felony warrant for his arrest.

Police tried stopping Selby, but he fled the scene in his vehicle. Officers pursued Selby south out of Manchester on Highway 13, then westbound on Highway 20 and finally eastbound on Highway 20.

Manchester Police were assisted in the pursuit by the Delaware and Buchanan County Sheriff’s Departments, as well as Dyersville Police. Authorities deployed two sets of spike strips, which successfully deflated the tires of Selby’s vehicle. The pursuit ended on Highway 20 west of the Dyersville city limits.

Selby was arrested and charged with Eluding and Operating While Intoxicated. Additional charges are pending.
