A Fayette County man faces thousands of dollars in fines after dumping furniture and trash in a county ditch.
The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office says they received a report on Sunday of beds, box springs and numerous bags of garbage thrown into the ditch on Echo Valley Road and Imperial Road southeast of West Union.
Deputies investigated the incident and charged 32-year old Christopher Loren-Ray Zuercher of West Union with 29 counts of Depositing or Throwing Litter on Highway, with fines totaling nearly five thousand dollars.
Zuercher was ordered to return to the scene and remove all the garbage and furniture in the presence of Sheriff’s Deputies.
