A Worthington home was heavily damaged by a fire late Wednesday afternoon.
The Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office says their office, along with the Worthington and Dyersville fire departments, responded to the Schilling residence at 308 1st Street South in Worthington shortly before 5 pm.
A fire started on the back porch, which spread to the house.
The Sheriff’s Office says the investigation revealed the fire was most likely caused by an electrical issue with the porch lighting.
Damage to the house is estimated at $200,000.
