City of Manchester Transitioning to New Utility Billing Software, Residents to See Changes

Manchester residents will be seeing some changes with their utility bills.

It’s not the cost that’s changing – but how you pay your bill and what your bill looks like.

The City is transitioning their accounting and utility billing software, so they’ll be converting from one program to another. City Manager Tim Vick says those changes with residents’ utility bills will start taking effect this week.

Vick says the first change involves your account number.

The second change involves a temporary halt on accepting credit card and debit card payments.

Vick says the new billing statements are an improvement over the utility postcards for a couple of reasons.

You can see a sample of what your new utility billing statement will look like below.

Vick says the City will be sending out the new utility bills at the end of the month. If you’re signed up for electronic billing, don’t worry – you’ll still receive your statements that way.

If you have any questions about the changes or issues during this transition period with Manchester’s utility billing, feel free to reach out to City Hall at 927-3636.
