The University of Iowa’s interactive mobile museum will be parked in the James Kennedy Public Library parking lot in Dyersville on Friday, August 22nd from 10 am to 5 pm. Featuring various exhibits that focus on three eras in Iowa’s history – Ice Age giants, ancient agriculturalists and the cornerstones of Iowa’s state political history. Free admission.

Independence “Underground” Tour

“Praise in the Park” in Rickardsville

LaSalle Pastorate presents an outdoor “Praise in the Park” on Saturday, August 16th at the Rickardsville Ball Diamond. Several Christian music groups will perform, with concessions, kids’ activities and ice cream. Gates open at 12:30 pm, with a special prayer service at 1 pm and the music starting at 1:30 pm.
