Terry Snyder – Delaware

Terry Snyder, 83, of Delaware, Iowa, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2022, at his home in Delaware.

Prayer Service for Terry will begin at 2:30 p.m. followed by Visitation from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 21, 2022, at Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Manchester, Iowa.

Celebration of Life will be held 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 23, 2022, at the American Legion Hall in Delhi, Iowa. Burial will take at a later date. Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service is in charge of arrangements.

Terry was born on May 18, 1939, in Maquoketa Iowa, the son of Wilmer and Betta (Scott) Snyder. He graduated from Lost Nation High School and enlisted in the United States Army. After being honorably discharged he became a foreman working with Natural Gas Pipelines across the country. He worked for the following companies during his career, Brad Schnittjer, Utility Construction, Iowa Pipeline, and Infra Source.

Terry married Linda Miller on May 15, 1971, just recently celebrating their 51st anniversary. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Delhi. He enjoyed playing cards,
going to stock car races, going on camping trips, he was a fan of the Cubs and Bears and Farmall tractors. Most of all he loved spending time with friends and family, especially his grandchildren, he always had some candy for them and attended many of their activities throughout the years.

Terry is survived by his wife, Linda Snyder of Delaware; children, Denise Neville of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, Randy (Zona) Snyder of Joliet, Illinois, Cory Snyder of Delhi, Tina (Chris Aldrich) Tucker of Earlville, Iowa; nine grandchildren, Cassie, Kevin, Brenna, Parker, Lincoln, Tyson, Taya, Rylie, Peyton; one great-granddaughter, Neveah; Triplet brother, Jerry (Lena) Snyder of Oakridge, Oregon; sister-in-law, Janet Hanson of Maquoketa, Iowa, and Marilyn (Kirk) Shaw of Cedar Falls, Iowa; along
with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilmer and Betta Snyder; two brothers, triplet brother Gerry Snyder, and David Snyder.
