Today, we’re highlighting the race of Iowa House District 67.
For the past several years, Delaware County has had State Representative Lee Hein of Monticello representing them in the Iowa House. But, due to last year’s redistricting, Delaware County will have a new person representing them in the Iowa House next year – regardless of who wins Tuesday’s election.
Last year’s redistricting led to the formation of Iowa House District 67, which covers all of Delaware County, southern Buchanan County and the far southwest tip of Dubuque County.
The two candidates who have filed to run are Republican Craig Johnson of Independence and Democrat Terry McGovern of Earlville.

Election Day is Tuesday, November 8th, with polls open from 7 am to 8 pm.
