A Monticello man was airlifted to the hospital following a motorcycle crash on Tuesday night.
It happened in Linn County at Sawyer Road and Prairieburg Road shortly after 10 pm. The Linn County Sheriff’s Office says emergency personnel arrived on scene to find a motorcycle driven by 57-year old Gregory Joslin of Monticello had been traveling eastbound on Sawyer Road when he failed to stop for the stop sign at the T-intersection.
Joslin’s motorcycle left the roadway, coming to rest in the east ditch. He was not wearing a helmet.
Joslin was seriously injured and transported by LifeGuard Air Ambulance to a local hospital.
Linn County deputies, Linn County Rescue, Prairieburg and Coggon Fire, Anamosa Ambulance also assisted at the scene.
The accident remains under investigation.
