Clayton County’s sheriff will be retiring next year.
Sheriff Mike Tschirgi announced recently that he will retire from law enforcement at the end of his term, which will be at the end of 2024.
Tschirgi has led as Clayton County Sheriff for 16 years. He has served with the department full-time for 35 years.
Sheriff Tschirgi says he knows there are a couple of guys interested in becoming the next Clayton County Sheriff, so he wants to give them ample time for the public to get to know them.
