Area Farmers Invited to Spring Planting Workshop Near Masonville

Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig will be in Buchanan County this Friday for a spring planting workshop – and area farmers are welcome to attend too.

The Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship invites you to join them for a workshop on fine-tuning your planter for the upcoming season. No-till and strip-till farmers from Buchanan, Black Hawk and surrounding counties are invited to the workshop 

This free event will run Friday from 1:30 to 3:30 pm. at the Alan Wulfekuhle Farm Shop at 2849 York Avenue near Masonville.

The workshop will begin with a message from Secretary Naig. Precision ag and equipment specialist Pete Youngblut will be conducting the planter workshop and answering your questions. And the Iowa Pork Producers Association will be sharing an update about their ongoing sustainability efforts. Refreshments will be provided.

This workshop is co-sponsored by the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship, the Black Hawk and Buchanan County Soil and Water Conservation Districts, and the Iowa Pork Producers Association.
