The Manchester City Council met last night, holding a public hearing on a proposal to enter into a Water Revenue Loan and Disbursement Agreement for work completed on the Highway 13 looping project. No one spoke for or against it. It was approved by the Council.
The Council also approved the second reading of the new rental housing code. Several landlords in attendance shared concerns about the code, with a petition presented and a request to form a landlords association. The City agreed to allow the association to form, with further discussions on the proposed code before the third and final reading in April.
The Council also approved a request by Jeff Ogden to vacate an undeveloped portion of South 2nd Street lying between Denton and Kane Street.
And resolutions approving a preliminary and final plat for the Houlihan Ag Subdivision were also approved.
We’ll have more on some of these stories in upcoming newscasts on KMCH.
