Michael Timothy Baker, 57, of Strawberry Point, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2023, at his home. He was born on March 21, 1965, in Jacksonville, Florida, the son of James and Doris (Peck) Baker. Mike graduated from Starmont Schools in 1983.
Mike was married to Jill Sandhagen on August 8, 1987, and three children were born to this union, Josh, Amber and Nick. The couple were later divorced. Then Mike and Amy Ostrander spent eight years together raising Tanner and Tyler. On October 26, 2013, Mike was united in marriage to Tristan Boies, and one child was born to this union, Kenyon.
Mike was a truck driver for 27 years. He enjoyed cruising, fast cars, music, snowmobiling, Bluegrass, and target shooting. Mike also enjoyed spending time with family.
Survivors include his wife, Tristan Baker of Earlville; six children, Josh Baker of Strawberry Point, Amber (Dustin) Baker of Strawberry Point, Nick (Bridget) Baker of Arlington, Tanner Koenes of Earlville, Tyler (Summer) Baker of Masonville, and Kenyon Baker of Earlville; six grandchildren, Lucas, Sadie, Lennox, Willow, Jaxton and Zaylyn; one sister, Kim (Kevin) Rhoades of Strawberry Point; many nieces and nephews; and special friend, Briggs.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, James and Doris Baker; his siblings, Harold, Linda, Brenda and Steve; and a niece, Jenna in infancy.
