Ernst Names Clayton County Company as Small Business of the Week

U.S. Senator Joni Ernst has named a Clayton County company as her “Small Business of the Week”.

M’s Machine and Manufacturing Company has been named this week’s honoree.

For forty years, M’s Machine and Manufacturing Company has provided original equipment manufacturers with computer numerical control (CNC) machining services. The Monona-based company offers CNC machined parts to Midwest agriculture, automotive, industrial and medical industries. It has been women-owned and operated since 1989, when Virginia Drahn purchased the business from its founders. Since then, four generations of the Drahn family have worked at the company, with Casey, Candace, and Cory Drahn taking on ownership in 2008.

Ernst serves as a ranking member of the Senate Small Business Committee. Throughout this Congress, she plans to recognize a small business in every one of Iowa’s 99 counties.
