One person was killed and four others injured in a crash in Jones County on Thursday.
The crash happened at the intersection of Highway 151 and Shaw Road shortly before 1 pm. The Iowa State Patrol says a car heading eastbound on Shaw Road failed to yield to a southbound car on Highway 151 and the two cars collided.
Numerous emergency personnel responded to the scene, including Mount Vernon and Lisbon Ambulance, Jones County Medical Examiner, Anamosa Fire & EMS, Jones County Sheriff’s Office, Monticello Ambulance and Anamosa Police.
The names of those involved have not yet been released, but the crash report from the Iowa State Patrol indicates that two juveniles were among those injured. Three of those injured were transported to Finley Hospital, while one was taken to Jones Regional Medical Center.
