Several Arrested in Joint Buchanan/Fayette County Drug Investigation

Buchanan County and Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a joint investigation on a drug-related activity, making several arrests on Sunday.

Following a traffic stop in the 1100 block of 120th Street in Buchanan County around 11:30 am, Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 54-year old Scott Arthur McLaury of Hazleton, 30-year old Seth Allen McLane of Hazleton, 36-year old Michael Scott McAllen of Manchester and 25-year old Shawnnessy Marie Washington of Oelwein.  

McLaury was charged with first offense Operating While Intoxicated/Impaired, Possession of Controlled Substance, Drug Tax Stamp Violation and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  

McLane was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  

McAllen was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  

McLaury, McLane and McAllen were all transported to the Buchanan County Jail.  

Washington was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Fayette County for Failure to Appear and was transported to the Fayette County Jail. She will have additional charges in Buchanan County stemming from this investigation.

The Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office and Fayette County Sheriff’s Office credits the coordinated efforts between both agencies that ultimately contributed towards the success of the overall investigation that culminated in these arrests.
